RITE ON!
I frequently get messages that are forwarded as many as six
times and am forced to delete all the address headers and
non-pertinent comments up front, and, occaisionally I have to
delete a whole lot of garbage from someone who doesn't know
how, or doesn't care, to convert a word processor document
to a text file before sending it as e-mail. Of course when it
comes from friends and relatives it is hard to criticize without
hurting feelings. However, almost all of the people on this list
are pretty knowledgeable about the use of their software, so it
should not be a problem.
Occasionally, it might be hard to cut out the extras, but usually
you only need a few lines of text or a few words to refer to for
your comments.
I'm probably as guilty as most, because I just sent out a post
and left all of Paul Bartlett's text tagged on. Forty flogs with a
wet noodle.. or maybe no more M & M's tonight.
Remember to have fun at whatever you are doing.
All work and no play makes you a dull boy, not to mention the
ulcers, heart trouble, carpal tunnel, bad posture, and eye
squint from all that staring at the monitor and banging the old
key board after the wife has gone to bed, after giving you last
call for the umpteenth call. You should be ashamed enough to
all go out and get a box of chocolates and a five pound double
German chocolate cake for the old girl, just to show her your
heart is in the right place. (Right next to your stomach)
