If you use Partition Magic to make the first partition the FAT partition
and hide it, then make the first NTFS position active, then when you
get ready to run disk image unhide the FAT partition and swap the
active partitions, and then switch them back afterwards that might
also do the job, even if it takes a couple of extra steps. My son-in-law
says he was taught this method when working for IBM and has been
doing that for some time.
