on my computer, the one running open dos now, there isn't even a mouse
plugged in to it any more... 
all i need to run is the text editor and a compiler (for Csound) and a
utility to audition the sounds that i render. and its doing all that. =) the
reson why i wanted open dos back was to task switch between the compiler (er
command line, i should say) and text editor. works like a charm.

no over uneeded overhead. no wasted hard drive space...
but you all understand that, i am sure. =)
