I don't know why you would even consider Windows 2000.
It is not  a Win9x upgrade and is not compatible with Win9x.
It is an upgrade to WinNT (5.0?). Win Milenium will be out 
sometime (as usual) way after scheduled, problably after 
July 2000, and bring with it all of the usual bugs and things
that you will have to work around with your FDISK program.
