I would have very happily began hacking away on the opendos source when it
was published, however, there was such a wide array of tools required just
to compile the base system, some of which I'd never heard of, it turned
out to be a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I had even
suggested at one point that caldera bundle all the development tools into
a developers package, and sell it to weed out those not really interested
in hacking away, but this was never done, and because of disk crashes, I
no longer have my original sources anymore. I would be interested in
getting a hold of it again (if it is still possible) but w/o finding all
the programs used to build the kernel of opendos, it's a bit tough to make
changes and improvements.
