Christoph,
Thank you very much. I was never able to find a reccomendation for
swap partition sizing. I have Caldera's OpenLinux on a 1.2gig drive.
250mb is swap, just under 1gig is Linux Native.
I'll redo the swap down to 160mb (80mb of Ram in this Pentium 150)
Oh, the other drive is a 5.7gig. (split into 9 partitions)
("main OS" is OpenDos v7.01)

 Michelle,
You really don't need "nerve" to install LILO.
It works flawlessly on my system.
Are you booting LILO on that floppy? Or are you booting to DOS on the
floppy and then running LOADLIN ?
If you _are_ booting LILO and it's working fine from the floppy, there's
no reason I can think of that it wouldn't work just as well on the HD.

It's also very easy to uninstall LILO if you want to.
Just boot from a DOS floppy, run FDISK and choose "rewrite MBR".
(LILO is removed)

Since OpenDos FDISK saves the MBR to a file on the HD, you can
run FDISK again and choose "restore original MBR". (LILO is back).
