Hi Richard,

You'll need Partition Magic to start with. You can use this to change
your FAT32 partition to FAT so that DOS will be able to see the files on
it, but it will take up more space like that. Regardless, you'll need to
create a new partition by compressing the original's size. The new
partition must be smaller than 2Mb and I believe it must also start
within the first 2Mb of the disk. So you'll have a fair amount of
shuffling about to do with PM. You'll then need to install something
like Boot Magic (may come with Partition Magic 4 - I can't remember) to
allow you to switch between these operating systems. Unfortunately, both
have to boot from drive C:, so you'll need something like BM to hide one
or the other. Rather than changing your Windoze to FAT, you could, in
the process, make a new extended partition using the FAT format and put
your data files on that (Drive D:) then both DOS and Windoze will be
able to access this data. But! be sure to use DOS friendly path and file
names or you could screw your data.

I'm not sure if you stay in real mode by pressing F8 on Windoze start-up
and selecting DOS Prompt Only?
