i've finally got DR-DOS 7.2 loaded on one of my computers (a Quantex
133MHz Pentium)and successfully networked with my other computer (a
no-name 486-100). As a test i decided to try making my parallel port
Zip drive available to the network and accessing it from the 486.
Bingo! It worked like a champ. i can successfully read and write to
the Zip drive from the 486. i started thinking about it and was
wondering why i couldn't access the CD-ROM on the Pentium from the
486. After all, they (the drives) both use .SYS drivers; if i can
successfully access one, why not the other?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave
