In reply to a posting by Steven Hurdle some days ago I suggested
to try the dummy MLID driver NULL.COM. However, I must have mixed 
up a few things and hereby would like to correct myself: 

NULL.COM can be found in Caldera's distribution of PNW, however, 
it is even more dumb than I thought... ;-) Its only function is 
to display a warning and exit. It does not provide any API and 
therefore cannot be used to force the loading of the other drivers.

Sorry for misleading anyone...
