I don't think it would be a *good* idea :

If I take the example of the "geos-to-go" mailing-list, there is not much traffic usually,
but sometimes some new discussions appears, very useful to newbies (new subscribers).

Moreover, mailing-lists are useful for "exotic" things (ie. not widely spread), because
they formed the (almost) only source of information and sharing for users. Would you think
about a Win9x related mailing-list ? No need for such a thing, and what a traffic : almost
unuseable.

I would like to see the mailing-list still alive, waiting for some new subscribers (there may
be, isn't it ?) and new discussions.

Just my opinion, though.
