   It's worth noting that a 32-bit version of GEM (or New Deal Office for
that matter) would require a full rewrite.  All libraries, system code,
and drivers would need to be rewritten.  If Caldera is going to include a
32-bit GUI with DR-DOS then they might as well write something fresh and
original, rather than paying for the right to re-write someone else's
product for them.

   Can GEM interface with TaskManager and launch new DOS tasks like New
Deal Office can, BTW?  If not, it'd be of little use to me.
