---Reply to mail from Greg Baker about Detect a generic NE2000 nic?---
Hello Greg,
Hey, thanks for the offer, but if the driver package doesn't have a
detection utility of some kind, then it is of little use to me. The
Generic NE2000 driver in DRDOS' Personal Netware, will run the card
alright,
if I know where the card is. (what IRQ, etc.)
OK, I just went to get a cup of coffee, and figured out that if I use
the install disk for OpenLinux, LISA will detect that card for me.
HURRAH! I thank you for being part of the circumstances that lead to my
remembering this. If it weren't for you, and your message, no telling how
long I would have sat here in a funk trying to figure someway to do this.
As an aside: I know live in Washington state, but I was raised in San
Bernardino, and on top of that, my adopted mother, (the mother of the
family that adopted me when I was 2yrs old), her maiden name was Baker.
How about that. HA! :-)
Thanks again, and have a wonderful day,
Paul
