DR-DOS own keyboard driver KEYB has no provision for the Dvorak
layout(s) yet.

However, you can either try MS-DOS 6.22 KEYB on DR-DOS using SETVER
KEYB 6.22 (though the driver consumes much more memory, cannot be
loaded into the HMA, and might - in rare cases - cause some trouble
with caches and rebooting).

You can also try Axel s and mine FreeKEYB driver (formerly known as
K3PLUS), which supports the two-handed Dvorak layout (at least for US
keyboard mapping). FreeKEYB will also give you an endless list of
other (unrelated) goodies at minimal memory footprint. Left- and
right- handed Dvorak layouts and a provision to use them in
conjunction with different localized layouts are under development,
but please ask

Axel C. Frinke <frinke AT cs DOT bonn DOT edu>

for details, as he currently maintains this project (see our web-
pages below for details). He ll send you a current alpha version
of our driver. Eventually (hopefully later this year) FreeKEYB will
be published as Freeware with full sources, and probably will become
part of FreeDOS.
