For linux, you'd have to run something like Midnight Commander rather
than X (as somebody else said, 8Mb is fine for X11 and Linux, 4Mb is
not a good idea).  I'd recommend DRDOS for that machine, possibly with
Desqview-X (which I haven't used for ages, but liked when I did).  Did
Win95 run ok on this laptop? What jobs do you need to do with it?
