I fully understand and though I have received so many queries if
there wasn't an English issue of MPDOSTIP.ZIP, unfortunately there
is still none.
On a non-profit base, I would really like to help coordinating a
translation project, but the translation itself would need to be
done by others - I just don't have the spare time to do it myself
(and it would probably better be done by natively English speakers)...
I'm particularly addressing all those listeners who have a basic
understanding of DOS/PC internals and the German language (or
similar languages like Dutch) for example, and would like to help
out somewhere, but can't/won't work on the kernel, DOS utilities,
or maintain web space. Breaking the project down to 15 or 20
people, the work load would be acceptable and an English issue
could be ready in a few months...
If someone is volunteering to translate, please email me privately.
However, I hope there will be an updated German issue soon,
since many of the bugs in Novell DOS 7 have already been fixed
in DR-DOS 7.02, and also because DR-DOS comes with a large number
of usability and compatibility improvements, and (so far) a few
new features, which are yet to document, so that users can take
advantage of them...
