To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to inform of a new computer security product called S.T.O.P.S
which tracks down stolen computers world-wide via a modem.
S.T.O.P.S is an encrypted Security Solution designed to trace and track
computer systems once they have been stolen. Once installed it resides
undetected on the systems hard drive. It forces the machine, upon which it
is resident, to dial our central server station, via a modem every seven
days. Once dialed it sends a unique twenty digit serial code, which is used
to identify the machine and ownership, details. The Tracking element works
on a technology that has been available for some time now, known as " CLI "
(Caller Line Identification) which allows the person being called to be
informed of the number calling before the telephone is even picked up. When
S.T.O.P.S. dials out, the user is totally unaware as all the modem signals
are turned off and the system will not show up in any of the directory
structures.
S.T.O.P.S. works on the ambit that if you can detect the " CLI ", the
ownership details are known and the machine has been reported stolen, then
the address details can be easily obtained from the police who can begin
the retrieval / arrest process.
We are currently able to track machines within the USA, UK and South Africa
and within the next twelve months most other countries where CLI is
available will be on - line.
We have links to the police agencies around the world who have agreed to
work with us in clearing up the world wide problems associated with
Computer Theft.
S.T.O.P.S. is also available as a Phone Home system that allows the user to
trace their own machine once it has been stolen. When installing the
system, the user will be asked to set their own serial number (one which
can be remembered) and to enter their own telephone number including any
area codes. Once installed, it will try to dial out every seven days to
its own home number.
Should your machine be stolen, then it will call you the first time it is
used with a modem, and send down its unique serial code.
This product is upgradable to version (central server monitoring) by
payment of the annual service charges
N.B: To obtain the CLI details in your Country please contact us and we
will let you know e.g. ] In the US you pick up your receiver and dial *69
and in the UK it is 1471.
CLI is available in the following Countries: -
USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Hong Kong, Israel,
Singapore, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Austria, Norway, Korea, Germany,
Finland, Japan, Sweden, France, Denmark, South Africa and Belgium.
We are currenly looking for distributors world-wide to sell STOPS and a
range of other computer security products please contact me for more
information.
If you would like an evaluation copy or any more info please send me an
email to simon AT catchsoft DOT demon DOT co DOT uk or phone
+44 181 877 9955.
Best Regards
Simon Rey
