Hello everyone. I have a question that is a fairly easy one I hope.
Anyway, my modem is on com4, (not com 1 or 2) but the multitasking
software only has com 1 and 2 in it's ini file. I tried adding com4, but
it didn't seem to help. Now here's what happens.
While I'm using the modem in a task manager session, occasionally it will
stop receiving data. If I close the session, and restart my comm program,
then it picks up receiving data where it left off, and everything is again
ok for a while. But it doesn't happen regularly, so I can't pinpoint what
causes it. The only fix I've found is to just kill the session and
restart it, as just exiting the com program doesn't help. Any idea what
needs to be added to the taskmgr.ini file to make com4 behave properly?
