I followed the same route, but I have everything "high" and, much to my
surprise, have yet to have a crash since I changed the EMM386 setup.
I'll admit that I hardly ever use Windows, though.
For what it's worth, when I first installed 7.02 I did have crashes and
the "high" thing may have been part of it, but once I realized that 7.02
defaults to XMS calls to upper memory being *disabled*, while all
earlier versions had them enabled, I added the XMSUMB parm to the EMM386
command line. This also allows taskmgr to load up there and MEM now
reports NWCACHE in upper memory by name and not location. Anyway, it
works for me.
