I'm quite successfully using many programs under opendos that use the dos4gw dos extender. Among them is nethack, angband, and the dos rc5/des client from www.distributed.net. All of them work just fine under opendos 7.01 and 7.02. I've experienced no problems at all using the dos4gw extender. So you can rest easy, and go grab your own copy of opendos. *grin*
