On a semi-related note, would it be too much hassle to add a /R to VER to
display the BDOS number, HMA and UMB link status, and perhaps the serial
number? IBM added this simple innovation, and I've grown used to it.
Microsoft simultaneously supports it (try VER /R under MS-DOS) and tries
to ignore it (try VER /? or HELP VER under MS-DOS.) Go figure.

Should it be? If you mean "LFN support is not yet part of the kernel" I
feel strongly that it should not be -- it should remain an optional TSR.
But perhaps I misread the statement and you simply meant that the LFN
package is still in beta.
