Ok, I posted a few questions about freeware archives, programming
languages, and e-mail via OpenDOS (no windows).

I've gotten a few decent links for freeware, I'll add them at the
bottom of this message.  They were enough to keep me busy downloading
for a while.

For programming languages, I found a freeware DOS Rexx interpreter
which if perfect for my needs (REXX.ZIP).  There is also a commercial
BASIC available which will build exe's but I can't recall the name now.
 Perhaps someone else on the list can provide more info.

For e-mail/internet access, Nettamer (n1101386.zip) seems to be by far
the easiest and most complete solution.  Using PC Yarn (yarn_092.zip)
and UkaPPP (uka16x10.exe) is a nice setup and not that difficult to
configure (I'm paritial to Yarn under OS/2 so it's familiar territory,
YMMV).  There are a slew of internet utilities that use packet drivers
such as etherppp as well.  I think I could even make the jump to a DOS
only system for all my needs if I had to with what I've got now.
