There is a version of pc-pine 3.96 which can be run under DOS with a
packet driver. It would be a very useful programme if the memory handling
bugs were resolved. Apparently it allocates memory inefficiently and often
crashes when the available supply of conventional memory has been
exhausted.

A programmer with time to spare could presumably develop a version of pine
for DJGPP.
