1) The OpenDOS pages have a link to a site that explains the setup of
email under dos using a DOS version of Pegasus mail.  Sorry, don't know
about the "soup" thing.

3)  Try DJGPP.  It is a Free (GNU licensed) C, C++ 32-bit programming
language for DOS.  www.delorie.com/djgpp/.   Also there is a language
called Euphoria at members.aol.com/FilesEu/?? I may be wrong about the
last address.  Just look up Euphoria in Yahoo or Webcrawler and it will
point to the site.  There is a Shareware Basic called PowerBasic but I
don't know how up to date it is.  You would have to look it up also.
