There's not much other info to give.  Here it is though.

I said that if I step through the files (f8), the beeping begins
immediately when I say yes to the  process autodos7.bat question.  I see
nothing on the screen at that time.  A pause after @echo off would have
asked for confirmation to continue if it got to that line correct?  That
is a mute point though.  I told the system no to process the autodos7.bat
file during an f8 boot and it still gave me a blank screen with incessant
beeping.  So this isn't about the autodos7.bat file at all.  My Win'95
has no autoexec.bat or config.sys files, could that be a problem?  Other
than that I have no idea.
