Hi all,

When I installed WebSpyder 32 Beta to use a dial-up connection, it changed
my NWCLIENT\STARTNET.BAT to start NCOMX.COM, which identifies itself as a
COMx MLID. I don't have any problems with it altering my netowrking setup -
I only use it occasionally, when I cart my home machine into work.

What did intrigue me, however, was what the driver actually does. Does it
provide an interface for PNW and NW to access a machine's serial ports? If
so, can I establish a network between a few machines (2 or 3) with
null-modem cables? I tried copying the NCOMX.COM file over to another OD
machine with NWCLIENT installed, and tried to set that machine up, but they
don't seem to appear to want to communicate. Do I need any other drivers
from WebSpyder (PKT2ODI, NWREMOTE, etc...), or is it just the MLID isn't
designed to work?

I also think that the NCOMX.COM file should be included with OD if it is of
any use.

Regards,
Ben Jemmett
