No, but if you have problems after the update, please try:

- YEAR2000=OFF (for problems with QEMM, SCSI drivers, NICs and
  setups, virus checkers).
- SWITCHES=/L (if your batchjobs or applications do not correctly
retrieve the environment, and you have used CONFIG.SYS SET= before)
- SWITCHES=/Q and SCROLLOCK=off (maybe COMMAND /F) for
autark systems, that need to reboot without user interaction.

Two kinds of incompatibilities are known:

- QEMM s DOS-UP does not work with COD 7.02 due to the new
FILESHIGH/FCBSHIGH commands. COD 7.02 s memory layout of
handles had to slightly change internally to workaround bugs in
Windows 3.xx (This is no problem for MS-DOS, since it cannot
loadhigh handles). Probably there will be a patch to re-enable DOS-UP,
which in the same turn disables Windows in conjunction with FILESHIGH.
At the moment, just use OpenDOS loadhigh options instead.
- Problems with the changed kernel version number, if utilities are hard-wired
to Novell DOS 7. There is a patch to set back the BDOS version (just
change IBMDOS.COM file offset +0Ah from 72h to 72h), but this will
break the SHARE that ships with COD 7.02.

Please report any such problem to Caldera <dosbeta AT calderauk DOT com>,
but also contact your dealer for an update of the software you re using.

Matthias
