As a matter of the fact, sometimes problems with beta software become
known only after a release... The next version *will* run with NDOS/4DOS
*with* DPMS active (you can also switch DPMS off just before loading
the LONGNAME driver, and later issue DPMS on again, just to ensure
that LONGNAME itself does not use DPMS if you are running under 4DOS).

As far as I know, LONGNAME is *not* compatible with any other DOS
than the DR DOS family since Novell DOS 7 (and currently also discards
COD 7.02, which will change soon, too). The new COMMAND.COM instead
runs from any DOS or Windows 3.x/95, though it has extra features when running on OpenDOS.

Concerning your other question:
>Are this pgm support localized names (cyrillic for me)?
As far as I have tested it in my German environment, I m afraid it does not
(at the moment). I cannot say anything concerning the status, but I imagine,
in time LONGNAME will also be improved in this area.

Please report your problems with LONGNAME (in a detailed report, including your configuration files) to <lfnbeta AT calderauk DOT com>, so that
your info actually reaches the engineers working on that driver.
