Some of the best and most influential
OS releases come from *relative*
novices -- remember, Linus was a mere
student when he created the Linux
kernel, and back in the 80s many of
the best CP/M enhancements and
utilities came from hobbyists who
would not be considered as experts by
typical industry standards.

The quality of an OS product is
determined by the time, dedication,
and attentiveness of the programmer
as much as by his/her experience and
talent. Technical details can be
learned by study and by trial and
error, generosity and dedication are
not so easily acquired!
