Yes... I'll go with that.  Emm386 should really be classed as part of 
the
Kernel.  

Trouble is, emm386 is pure asm (of course) and very very strange
stuff it is too.  That's why it gives us such problems.  We're going 
to
get the drdos Godfather to fix it for us when he's not so busy.
Perhaps we can see the sources released when it is stable..

As for Himem.sys, perhaps.  I have a feeling the DPMS core is part
of EMM386.

Chkdsk needs overhaul for LFN support and there are (supposedly) 
better FORMAT programs out there.

Fdisk is rather messy and ugly, consisting largely of goto statements.
I'm hoping to restructure it for the next major release, to use the 
'wizard-style' menu arrangement.  Then it will be 'proper' code 
inside,
but using the technology from 'old' Fdisk.
