Subject: OpenDOS on an 8088 XT?
Mime-Version: 1.0

i just pulled my old XT out of the closet to use as a terminal for my Linux
box and as a part of my network, still have to find an 8-bit ethernet card
(that is, if such a thing exists). i copied the 'directory install' of
OpenDOS w/ networking onto my XT and tried to run the install program, but
i get an error saying: 'requires Microsoft Windows.' this doesn't seem
right, considering i installed it onto a partition of my linux box fine,
without running windows. anybody ever encounter this? hell, anybody ever
try to install OpenDOS on an XT before? any suggestions (about installing
OpenDOS on an XT *or* finding an 8-bit ethernet card) would be helpful.

thanx all,
rik.
