i've gotten my modem to work boffo under taskmgr by putting timeout to
65536 (or whatever the highest value is). telemate works fine and dials
and does everything while i'm in another window. i even run my bbs in the
background while i run wordperfect in the foreground and it works
perfectly.
my pooter is a 386sx/16 with 5 megs of ram. my modem is a USR sportster
14.4 internal.
