Since OpenDOS is just coming to grips with long filenames, I thought
I'd modify one of my programs to see what is possible...

I have adapted my "files" program to handle both long filenames and
OpenDOS-style permissions. It still needs some work, but I'd like
feedback on what people think... not so much about the program itself
(it is something I use with the /D switch, you might like to try it),
but the main thing is the way it tries to be compatible with what
people expect from legacy apps and longnames - it uses the longname
only if needed. If people like it I'll extend the method to more
utilities.

Try setting FILES=/F:$C0
to force 8+3 names and the old format, by the way.
