So am I.

Agreed as well.

Exactly.

Precicely. Some people just have closed minds and are stubborn,
even though they are not the driving force.

The only problem that I see is coding everything. Everything
should be so transparent via VFS/IFS that MSDOS 6.22 commands
could copy/rename/delete/execute/whatever programs and files that
reside on a case sensitive DOS ext2 partition with LFN's via name
mangling. I'd say that the code allready exists in public domain
or GPL, and that it just needs to be ported to DOS.

VFS - linux source, other PD OS's that use VFS
ext2, ntfs, hpfs, every FS under the sun
	   - all in the linux source, as well as other OS source
Name mangling code that is not brain dead
	   - MACH. This can be found also in the DOSemu source

I've looked at all of this stuff as well as the documentation on
it, and have done some ext2 coding *IN DOS* in DJGPP. I'm
starting to be able to read stuff into my program now from ext2.
If no-one else want's it, then they won't use it, - I will, and
if I get it to the state where it is useful, it will be released
to OpenDOS and Caldera the volcano people.

That is for sure! Fortunately, the people who are "choosing"
that it shouldn't and/or wont be supported, don't have much
control over the people like myself who ARE going to make it
exist for everyone.

True, my coding on ext2 for DOS is being neglected somewhat the
last couple weeks...

And a very good one as well.
Take care.
