Subject:	my system freezes after all config.sys commands have finished, but before autoexec.bat

I have a P60 that I just installed OpenDOS on.  I do f8 so I can see
what loads, and it always reboots after the last command in config.sys,
regardless of what it is.  I have tried using ems and no ems, with both
the Caldera emm386.exe and DOS 6.21 himem/emm386, and nothing helps.  I
have even pulled the ET6000 out of this computer and tried that in it,
but that didn't help either.  I have tried all of the above with and
without the network card also.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Here are the complete stats on the system:
Trident 9440 ISA video (until I get a pci card next week)
8 megs ram (which works fine in other systems)
P60 chip & motherboard with American Megatrends AMBRA bios (1992)
Seagate 1.08 gig HD using Ontrack Disk Manager
1.44 floppy
SMC chipset jumperless network card (NE2000)
