This may sound like some sort of pathetic newbie question, but I
know of nowhere else to turn.

Ok, here is my dilemma. I am running mars_nwe on my linux machine
(I don't know if anyone is familiar with it, but it is a copylefted
netware 3.x server emulator for Linux), and have OD running on a little
486 box connected via Ethernet (quite obviously), Now, I *THINK* that the
Ethernet card in the 486 is broken, but I don't know for sure, it's a 3Com
Etherlink II TP, if anyone has had experiences with these things. I know
the one in my Linux box works.

Now, I've chosen "Connect to netware 2.x, 3.x Servers" and set the
preferred server the the name I gave this mars_nwe thing. Now, when I do
this, it starts up the Personal Netware Server. This is not what I want,
is it?

What it boils down to is, it is NOT connecting to this server, now
normally I would boil this down to the ethernet card not working, but I
don't think it's even trying. How can I make it actually TRY to connect
to it? Do I need 3rd party software, or is this Netware 2.x/3.x
functionality actually... functional?
