Yes, we definately want EXT2 under DOS!!!!  FULL BLOWN TOO!!!!!!
With symlinks and the whole nine yards!  ext2 is expandable.
Read the ext2 documentation.  It is very extensible and I believe
that it could do all that Tim has suggested and more, and without
being a messy filesystem hack.
