OK, you've convinced me (by the "netscape argument", no less.

So, our help system will be able to be used 2 ways:

Access help using 8 letter name, search first for .zip ext., then for 
.htm ext. in help directory;

Access using 8.3 full name, searching in help directory for specific 
filename;

in either case, when searching for topical help (ie. help diskcopy, 
for example) search first for compressed default file, then for 
uncompressed?

Or simply don't support uncompressed format?

Just wondering...
