Yes, it is fully functional and free for non-commercial use.

Of course there aren't.  Viruses don't survive in UNIX systems
because they need to run as root, and most sysadmins don't run
unknown binaries on their systems.  Also, compiling from sources
is commonplace, one of the cornerstones of UNIX.  I've heard of
unix based viruses, but they usually work due to some major
security flaw in a particular OS or one of it's programs.  I've
yet to hear of one for Linux.

Oh, BTW, just to keep this DOSish, McAfee has a virus scanner for
Linux now!!!!!!!!!!  Contrary to what you might think about its
name, it scans your DOS drives for DOS viruses, but from Linux.
Cool eh!
