Yes, Linux is stable, I am currently running RedHat's latest release
with the kernel custom configured, etc... But there is one problem.
Much of the commercial/shareware/freeware software is developed
exclusively for Windows/dos. I have several games/programs etc. that
are for Win95 or win 3.1 alone.
While Linux may include an "emulator" for dos and win3.1, it is not
nearly complete - and the purpose of OpenDOS is to give the DOS
community an alternative to M$'s versions. Hopefully, an alternative
that is both stable and compatible, while superior :-)
This is something I have been waiting for for some time. Nothing
wrong with that is there? ;-)
