Then it might be your hardware is failing somewhere. Check the bus transfer
rates and cache (SRAM) speed.

You don't need *.sys for OpenDOS to startup. All you need is a bootable
floppy, IBMDOS.COM, IBMBIOS.COM and COMMAND.COM. Do you still have these?
