Ahem. this is a pretty broad statement. People use win95 for several
reasons not just because
they want to lick bill gates' boots.

Some people bring their work home, and have to use programs that won't work
under anything else,
people use it because the programs they use run well under it and are less
of a hassle, and yes there are
some people that ARE bootlickers, but doesn't every OS have groupies <g> ?
Nowadays some programs REQUIRE it.. and that is exactly why we need a gui
that can emulate it or has the same core wualities. if it could be faked
then that will work too.

Not everyone has a need to learn the ins and the outs of an operating
system - this does not make them ignorant persay, but narrow in the way
they view a computer - as a simple tool..

Blather Blather <g>

BTW, you should never judge someone by what operating system they use -

if joe bloe wants to use minix i have nothing to say about it..

it's not what you use, but how you feel about what you are using

that is why i dig OpenDos
it works for me

and now i put away my soap-box
