Look at the `From:' line at the top and fill it in manually.

Basically, this is a discussion list, not an announcement list. A discussion 
list is a newsgroup via email, basically. The primary destination for replies 
to a discussion list is back to the list. The primary destination for 
announcement lists is private mail back to the sender. This is why there's an 
option for the list admin to set the `Reply-to:' field.

Because I don't have a followup button. I use a mail reader for reading mail, 
not a news reader.

exmh & mh. mh is the most powerful mail reader ever written. You should know, 
you use Emacs.

Really, though, we should shift the whole thing to a newsgroup. Mailing lists 
weren't *designed* for this sort of volume. Most people's inboxes get 
cluttered up. Some people can do automatic filtering (like me), but lets not 
start a my-mail-reader-is-bigger-than-YOUR-mail-reader argument, shall we? 
We've already been flamed once for drifting off topic...
