The problem, based on what I've heard, is twofold:

1. The sources are being held in escrow by a third party, and Caldera
is still sifting through them trying to decide what's what.

2. The build process relies on the source control system, so you can't
just type "make" after you check everything out.  Most of the work has
been in rewriting the Makefiles to work without the source control
system.
