I think what opendos could use is a welcome.wav file that welcomes people to opendos for the startup of the machine. If some sound card is present and the .wav file is able to play and the voice on it is nice users would know at least part of their sound system was working and it might help attract prospective users too. If there was a midi file that played a little music, running that along with the .wav file would check out another part of the sound card on startup too. jude <jdashiel AT eagle1 DOT eaglenet DOT com>
