Collin your point is taken, something else I neglected to make clear is that info zip is run by the developers and for that reason has much more flexibility potential. Also, info zip makes no commitment to support pkzip and pkunzip. In fact there have been two files I had to use info unzip to decompress since pkunzip wouldn't handle them. jude <jdashiel AT eagle1 DOT eaglenet DOT com>
