Hi all:

I've been using Novell DOS 7 since its first release and have been an
avid fan of it. Was impressed from the start with its memory manager
(emm386) compared with the somewhat crippled version that came with MS
dos. Novell's xcopy could do hidden files, etc., I could go on and on.
For anyone using DOS, I didn't know why anyone would buy MS.

Now to my testing of OpenDOS. I noticed that the assign was not working
with the version of IBMBIOS and IBMDOS that came with OpenDOS. OpenDOS's
assign works with my Novell DOS system files... Any thoughts out there.
Is it just some configuration of mine that is not working?

here are the files..

ASSIGN.COM 7472 1-23-97 7:01a ASSIGN R1.04
                                     Copyright (c) 1976,1996 Caldera,
Inc.

ASSIGN.COM 7613 11-29-95 7:00a ASSIGN R1.05
                                     Copyright (c) 1976,1993 Novell, Inc.

(Many thanks to you Gene for this list.)
