by the way, i have noticed it there too.  LWFD stands for LAN Workplace 
for DOS.  and ctcpip.386 just doesn't exist.  the second time installed 
OpenDOS, however, it put the line:

    vxd=d:\windows\system\vctpip.386

i don't know why it is there but it is.  anyways, the point of this is 
that when i try to load TASKMGR (either from the command line or from the 
autoexec.bat) my EGA monitor freaks and starts giving me squiggly lines.

Any ideas why its doing that or what vtcpip is?
