I had tried 0.641 of opendos I think with two speech synthesizers. The success rate wasn't good. One synthesizer package refused to load a package. Another which was compiled from c code and had a smaller memory ffootprint did work for a few minutes then locked up the computer. The two packages were tinytalk 1.67 written in pascal, and provox 6.43 which is frreeware with source code available.
