It's free for non-commercial use.

Depending on the one you download, 7 megs or less.  (the smaller version
doesn't include the Personal Netware servers, and other LAN tools)

Right now you're going to have to suffer with about 9 different tools (5
compilers, 4 assemblers) to build the whole distribution.  I'm working on
cutting this number down however.
