Hi,

Has anyone any experience with 3D viewing of parts with a gEDA PCB? I'm
doing other commercical designs where I've been taking STEP models for
cases (e.g. from Italtronics, OWK) and models of the connectors (e.g.
from Dinkle, On Shore Tech) and determining the PCB size and layout
dimensions including subboards, front panel displays etc, from there.

This time I have a USB device in a small Hammond case which has include
isolated DC-DC, pluggable terminal block and things like that. I'm
wondering how easy it would be to take the PCB and produce a 3D model
that I could apply to the models from Hammond and check for fit, fouling
etc.

I'm not talking about real time 3D view in PCB, I'm not sure that would
be particularly useful, but certainly to be able to post process (fairly
quickly) and view it in another window would be good.
